14 DAY TRIAL // One of United States' second-tier carriers, MetroPCS has just announced that it will offer its customers an unlimited music service in partnership with Rhapsody.
Dubbed “Music for All”, Rhapsody Unlimited Music service for mobile phones will offer customers access to more than 12 million songs.
Rhapsody is one of the most popular providers of on-demand music service and will enable MetroPCS' customers access to its vast music catalog starting this week.
According to the carrier, the new service is available on MetroPCS Android handsets with the $60 monthly rate plan, which in addition to Rhapsody Unlimited Music, offers unlimited talk, text, and Web access and other features like MetroNavigator, Pocket Express and Visual Voice Mail Plus.
Obviously, all taxes and fees are included, and all are available via MetroPCS without a long-term contract.
“Our customers want a rich entertainment experience, and music tops their charts. With the addition of the Rhapsody service, MetroPCS takes yet another step to deliver premium service at an unmatched value,” said Tom Keys, president and COO of MetroPCS.
Android fans who opt to add the new $60 monthly rate plan from MetroPCS will be able to play, download and stream as many songs as they want, free from the per-track charges that come with most other music download services.
In addition, MetroPCS customers will be able to manage their music, allowing them to create and sync playlists on their smartphones and personal computers, or even share them with friends via Facebook and Twitter.
However, getting singles, individual songs or entire albums is also possible. With Rhapsody's new unlimited music service customers can follow their favorite artists careers or even discover new artists' work and share it with friends and other users of the service.
