14 DAY TRIAL // MetroPCS Communications, Inc. along with Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung Mobile) and SA Studios Global announced on Monday the launch of an exclusive mobile phone, a limited edition of the Samsung Messager SCH-r450. The new device has been designed by the acclaimed artist Mister Cartoon and is expected to become available on the market before the end of the month.
According to MetroPCS, consumers in all MetroPCS markets will have the opportunity to purchase the limited-edition Samsung Messager, which comes with preloaded Mister Cartoon wallpapers, ringtones and animation. Some of the revenues the handset will generate will go to funding community art centers and outreach programs for at-risk youth and art supplies for local Los Angeles schools. In addition, the first ten devices will be auctioned for charity on the carrier's site, in August.
