14 DAY TRIAL // The affordable Alcatel One Touch Evolve and One Touch Fierce have just arrived at MetroPCS shortly after they were released by T-Mobile USA.
Both devices are offered as cheap alternatives to high-end devices that are now available on the market, so customers looking for such a smartphone can give these handsets a try.
Keep in mind that Alcatel One Touch Evolve ships with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system onboard, whereas the One Touch Fierce is powered by Android 4.2 out of the box.
The rest of the phones’ specs sheet are far from being impressive, hence the low price tags. Speaking of which, customers can now purchase the Alcatel One Touch Evolve $59 (€44) plus tax, while the One Touch Fierce can be had for $99 (€73) plus tax.
Hardware-wise, Alcatel One Touch Fierce could be a viable solution especially that it comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. More importantly, it is powered by a decent 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MTK MT6589M processor, which is complemented by 1GB of RAM.
The smartphone also packs 4GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB). On the back, One Touch Fierce sports a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and HD (720p) video recording.
It is also worth mentioning that the mid-range handset features a 4.5-inch qHD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 540 x 960 pixels resolution, as well as a VGA front-facing camera for video calls and 1800 mAh Li-Ion battery.
The lesser featured Alcatel One Touch Evolve is equipped with a 1GHz single-core processor provided by MediaTek, along with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage. MicroSD card slot is included as well.
There’s also a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and a VGA secondary camera in the front. Last but not least, the One Touch Evolve sports a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution and an 1400 mAh Li-Ion battery.
