MetroPCS, the US-based CDMA wireless communications services provider, has recently added the ZTE Agent candybar to its entry-level handsets lineup. Also known as the E520, the bar handset is the fifth ZTE mobile phone launched through MetroPCS carrier

ZTE Agent is a small sized feature-phone, which measures 110 x 48 x 14.7mm and weighs around 100g (including battery).

Further, the candybar sports a modest 1.3-megapixel camera with video recording capabilities, as well as a 2.4-inch QVGA display (240 x 320 pixels) with 262k colors support.

Other highlights of ZTE Agent include: Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR support, music player, 160 MB internal memory, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 16GB).

The handset is CDMA dual band (800/1900 MHz), CDMA2000 1xRTT, and support AWS technology.

ZTE Agent is powered by a 900mAh Li-ion battery with 210 hours standby and 6 hours talk time.

Other features include web browsing, Chat View, threaded SMS text messaging that follows a chain of text messages to and from a single contact.

The phone is @metro enabled, so users will be able to download ringtones, games and much more, directly on their handset.

The only accessories offered by the carrier compatible with ZTE Agent, are the value pack containing a Stereo headset and a leather case, and the ZTE Agent screen protector.

While the first package can be acquired for $29, the screen protector is only $5 and can be bought together with the phone.

MetroPCS offers the ZTE Agent for only $69 contract free. Those that wish to get this entry-level handset will have to select one of the three monthly contracts variants offered by the carrier: $40, $45, and $50.

All three are tagged as Unlimited Plans and will be activated as soon as the phone is received in the mail.
