Today, wireless services provider MetroPCS announced the availability of select handsets via Amazon.com.

Users in the United States interested in the purchase of a device with support for the wireless carrier’s network can now head over to Amazon’s website for that. The online retailer has a series of phones, smartphones, and 4G LTE devices available for them, the wireless services provider notes.

Users who would like to make the purchase via Amazon will have to activate the device to benefit from the company’s services. To do so, they will have to either head over to MetroPCS’ website or to one of the carrier’s stores around the country. They can also do so by dialing *228 from their mobile device.

"Making our phones available on Amazon.com is just one way that we're providing consumers with a convenient purchase option that will allow them to have it all with MetroPCS' services," said Tom Keys, president and COO of MetroPCS.
