The development team at 4A Games and publisher Deep Silver are delivering a new video for Metro Redux, designed to show gamers the extent to which the video games included in the new package have been improved on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.

The remastered experience will deliver improved graphics, with better textures and smoother gameplay, new game modes that are designed to test the skill of all fans and a new batch of content that will expand the boundaries of the game world.

Metro Redux includes both Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light and gives those who have not yet played the series a perfect change to experience its blend of atmosphere and difficult firefights.

The game takes place in the Moscow underground after an apocalyptic event and asks the player to deal with both human factions that are bent to dominate each other and with monsters that have been created by the radiation that exists above ground.

Metro Redux will be offered on the PC and Sony and Microsoft home consoles on August 26 in North America and three days later in Europe, and players can get both of the titles at the same time, or separately as digital downloads.

4A Games has not yet talked about plans to launch a third full game in the franchise.
