After changing publishers due to THQ's bankruptcy, Metro: Last Light, the new first-person shooter from developer 4A Games, has just received a new release date of May 14, for North America, and May 17, for Europe and the rest of the world.

Metro: Last Light was one of the next big titles set to be published by THQ but, due to the company's bankruptcy, rights to the series and the game were acquired by Koch Media, the parent company of Dead Island publisher Deep Silver.

Now, it seems that the transition is complete and Deep Silver together with 4A have confirmed via the official Metro Twitter page that Metro: Last Light will appear in May.

More specifically, the game is out in North America on May 14, and hits the rest of the world on May 17.

The extra development time will allow 4A to polish the game and more details, including new info about the pre-order rewards, are set to be revealed in the near future.
