THQ and 4A Games are working hard on Metro: Last Light and, in order to remind people of the game’s special premise, have just released a stunning Enter the Metro short film.

Metro 2033 was, in the words of publisher THQ, a flawed masterpiece, telling the story of life in Moscow’s subway tunnels after a nuclear war.

With Last Light, both THQ and developer 4A Games want to thoroughly impress players with gritty gameplay, stunning visuals, and an impressive story.

In order to attract people’s interest, a special Enter the Metro video has appeared, presenting the moments before the nuclear bombs hit, in which millions of Moscow’s citizens were running towards the subway tunnels that doubled as shelters in case of atomic attack.

The footage is haunting and definitely worth a watch, so enjoy it above.

Metro: Last Light is out in the beginning of 2013 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
