It’s not every day that Apple welcomes a jaw-dropping first-person shooter to the Mac App Store, so if you’re looking for some action, do check out the newly-released Metro: Last Light.

A first-person shooter set beneath the ruins of a post-apocalyptic Moscow, Metro: Last Light puts you in the shoes of Artyom, who is leading the remnants of mankind in a battle against a hoard of mutants stalking the catacombs beneath poisoned skies.

Using less metaphors, you could just call the game just another excuse to blast the flesh off some monsters, with some pretty insane graphics.

I haven't tried it personally, but the game looks like a decent few hours of fun. If you have $39.99 / €35.99 to spare and at least 8 gigs of RAM (your heard that right), you’re good to grab a gun and start shooting (the recommended amount of memory is actually 16GB, according to the description).

It also helps to have an NVidia GeForce GTX 680MX card with 1GB of video memory. Something tells me this game was not created with Mac users in mind.
