THQ and 4A Games have posted a special behind-the-scenes video that shows how the haunting Enter the Metro short film was actually made.

Metro: Last Light is set to deliver an impressive experience that improves upon its predecessor – Metro 2033 – in all sorts of ways, from graphics to gameplay or story.

In order to give a better background for those new to the series, who can’t understand why Russians would flock to the underground subway stations, publisher THQ has released an impressive short film called Enter the Metro.

It showed millions of Moscow citizens running to the metro stations, which doubled as nuclear shelters, as atomic missiles were attacking the city.

Now, a special behind-the-scenes video has appeared, which portrays just how grueling the actual filming process was, as over 150 cast members needed to brave the sub-zero temperatures in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Metro: Last Light is set to appear sometime in 2013. Until then, check out the video above.
