You probably have sweet memories when it comes to the Metal Slug series, ever since it was released on Neo Geo. If you were a fan of the title or you just love this run and gun type of games, we have some really great news for you: Ignition Entertainment and SNK Playmore have teamed up and decided to bring the Metal Slug 7 title to the Nintendo DS handheld. Yes, this means that, finally, you will be able to take the game with you wherever you go. Isn't that completely awesome?

If you have ever played a game in the series before, you already know everything about the Metal Slug 7 gameplay: 2D shooting action, hordes of enemies and tons of bullets to waste - probably the best way to forget about stress, problems or the fact that you don't know yet when Diablo 3 gets released.

In SNK Playmore's title, you will join the super team of Marco, Tarma, Eri, Fiolina, Clark and Ralph for no more than seven new missions (hey, don't be sad because of that - it's much better than nothing, right? Not to mention the fact that, if the developers keep doing it like this, Metal Slug 50 will be the longest game you have ever played!). Anyway... back to your missions in MG7: you will travel from the Garbage Island to the Fortress of Ruins and more, you will choose one of the six playable characters mentioned above and will start wrecking havoc amongst the enemy troops, as you did when you were a young lad. And tell me now: is there anything better than these sweet memories?

"Truth be told, I have a pink DS and was embarrassed to play it in public. Now with Metal Slug 7 loaded, I have no qualms," said Ajay Chadha, President of Ignition Entertainment. "Needless to say, and in all seriousness, we are very excited to announce our partnership with SNK Playmore USA to give both core and casual gamers a whole new insight into the unique, all-action, eye-popping world that is Metal Slug."

So that's the secret! We need a pink DS to experience this game to the maximum! Good to know. However, don't hurry to the nearest shop to buy one, since we have no word regarding MS7's release date. But we'll keep you updated.
