The game is using an open world structure

Troy Baker, well known for his voice acting skills, is at the moment playing the character of Ocelot in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and the actor says that the game world is bigger than that offered by The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and will surprise even the most dedicated fans of the series.

In a video interview he explains that he was amazed by the amount of content the team headed by Hideo Kojima is adding to the title and, presumably, by the amount of lines that he has to read in order to also satisfy the obsession the game maker has with complex cutscenes.

It’s interesting to note that Troy Baker was confirmed as working on his new role in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain since 2013, although since then he has also been present in other titles, which means that he did not dedicate all his time to the new open world title.

The game is designed to take advantage of the power of the new generation of consoles and the improved hardware on the PC to create a more realistic and complex take on the classic mechanics of the series.

Troy Baker is at the moment set to play the protagonist in Uncharted 4, a big PlayStation 4 exclusive that will appear later this year, and he also starred in Far Cry 4, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Batman: Arkham Origins, and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain does not have an official launch date

The new title from Hideo Kojima is set to appear during this year but no release window has been confirmed so far.

The leader of the development team himself suggested last year that the open world structure was giving him too much freedom and the story was growing so much that it would be hard to complete it.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is designed to allow players to explore the world at their own pace and use a variety of tactical tricks to get past enemies or to take them out.

Ground Zeroes, which was launched in 2014, is designed to serve as a prequel and a demo of the core mechanics.
