Could be an April Fools prank, but it might be true after all

A Spanish retailer has just posted a listing for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain on the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One platforms complete with a release date of March 12, 2015, although it could be just an April Fools prank.

Last month Konami released the first chapter in the Metal Gear Solid 5 saga, in the form of the Ground Zeroes prologue, which sets the stage for the future The Phantom Pain installment.

The small game appeared on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, and it already sparked rumors about the possible release period of The Phantom Pain, which could be early 2015, according to some reports.

Unfortunately, a more exact release date is still unavailable, as are details about a possible PC adaptation, which creator Hideo Kojima certainly wants to make.

Now, a fresh listing from Spanish retailer Xtralife has appeared online confirming that Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is going to appear on PC on March 12, 2015.

This is the first time an exact launch date and a PC version have been confirmed but, seeing as how today is April 1, it might just be a prank.

Even so, Xtralife has leaked things in the past, like the PS4 edition of The Last of Us, so it might still be true.
