Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is only set to arrive on the PlayStation 3 home console from Sony on the Japanese market and the team handling publishing duties at Konami says that it will also launch a special version of the gaming platform under the name of Zan Datsu.

The new version of the PS3 is specifically designed for the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance fan base and includes a 250 GB hard drive.

The new package will cost 31,960 Yen, about 390 dollars (298 Euro), and will include the Zan Datsu console, a special painted DualShock controller, a copy of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and download codes that deliver a special PS3 theme and a Cyborg Ninja skin.

The new Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance bundle is at the moment only offered in Japan and it’s not clear whether Konami also plans to launch it in North America and Europe.

The publisher also has plans to launch a demo version of the game on December 13 exclusively on the PlayStation Network, offering the content that was also part of the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance included in the High Definition collection for Zone of the Enders.

The full game will be launched in Japan on February 21 of next year, while those in the West will get the title on both the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 on February 19 and 22.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is an action-based game which has benefited from the expertise of Platinum Games and will star Raiden, the cyborg ninja introduced in the core games of the series.

Members of Kojima Productions have recently commented on the changes that Revengeance has seen during the development process.

Series creator Hideo Kojima is also working on a new fully stealth Metal Gear Solid game called Ground Zeroes, which will use the new Fox Engine and will be launched later during 2013.
