Video game publisher Konami has released a new E3 2012 trailer for its upcoming Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, which suggests that the game will be launched in the first few months of 2013, although no clear date was mentioned.

The trailer is the first look at the gameplay of the series since the direction of the game was abruptly changed during last year.

Initially, the game was under the direct guidance of Kojima Productions and was set to offer some stealth gameplay with a reliance on cut and take mechanics when it comes to battles.

Since then, Revengeance was taken over by Platinum Games, which has given the game more of an action bend.

The trailer also mentions how the fourth game in the Metal Gear Solid saga will influence Revengeance and talks about the cyborg technology that will power protagonist Raiden.

Revengeance is set to arrive on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.
