Metal Gear Online Gets New Character Skills

Konami is really eager to keep interest in the Metal Gear Solid franchise going by announcing new additions to Metal Gear Online, the multiplayer experience based on the game starring Solid Snake.

Players who will be getting the SCENE expansion are set to receive new special characters, maps, skills, gear and customization options. Konami is also making it easy for players to get the SCENE expansion - you can get it for 9.99 dollars from the Konami Shop; you can also get it with the second expansion launched, called MEME, for 14.99 dollars; or as part of a package comprised of all the expansions, for 17.99.

There are three new skills that Konami is talking about. CQC EX is melee oriented and is gained if the player has CQC Mastery Level 3 and executes no less than 200 melee maneuvers. If you get this skill, no enemy can perform a Close Quarter Combat move on your character as you will automatically counter his move.

Toughness is also pretty interesting, as it allows the character who has it equipped to resist knockdown attacks while also being able to recover quickly from them. In order to get this ability, the player needs to be targeted by 100 attacks that feature knockback, klnockdown or blow away moves.

Charm is supposed to be obtained when the player's character has been distracted by a magazine about 100 times. The new skill allows the player to use the salute pose as a magazine on other players. He also gets three different animations to use for the salute pose.

The SCENE expansion for Metal Gear Online also introduces a few New Top Elite emblems that players can use on their clothing. One of them is shown in the picture accompanying this article. Imagine killing some enemies wearing this outfit.
