Mesa, an open source implementation of the OpenGL specification and a system for rendering interactive 3D graphics, is now at version 9.2.4.

Mesa 9.2.4 is the next iteration in the series and implements the OpenGL 3.1 API. This means that some drivers might not support the specifications for the latest Mesa.

“There are more changes in this release than typical for a stable releases of Mesa. This is due to a large set of changes included to improve the freedreno driver,” reads the announcement.

According to the developers, the vertical alignment for multisampled buffers has been fixed, a debug option to disable scissor optimization has been added, the register headers have been updated, and the lowering of direct assignment in lower_clip_distance has been fixed.

More details about this release can be found in the official announcement. Download Mesa 9.2.4 right now from Softpedia.
