Mesa, an open source implementation of the OpenGL specification and a system for rendering interactive 3D graphics, is now at version 9.2.1.

Mesa 9.2.1 is the next iteration in the series and it implements the OpenGL 3.1 API. This means that some drivers might not support the specification for the latest Mesa.

According to the developers, a few fixes have been added in this maintenance version. The use of the uninitialized stack variable with brw_search_cache() has been fixed, valgrind errors in mesa have been fixed, and automatic mipmap generation with texture compression no longer produces borders that fade to black.

Also, a Unigine demo crash has been fixed and Piglit tex-shadow2drect no longer fails. A complete list of updates and changes can be found in the official changelog.
