Mesa, an open source implementation of the OpenGL specification and a system for rendering interactive 3D graphics, is now at version 10.1.2.

Mesa 10.1.2 is the next iteration in the series and implements the OpenGL 3.3 API. This means that some drivers might not support the specifications for the latest Mesa. This latest iteration of the Mesa library comes with a large number of changes and fixes, so it's a good idea to update as soon as possible.

According to the changelog, an out of memory error path has been fixed in dri_device_create(), glBlitFramebuffer has been added to commands affected by conditional rendering, an assertion has been added to check varying_to_slot[varying], an error condition has been added for integer formats in glGetTexImage(), and an error code generation in glReadPixels() has been fixed.

Also, an entry has been added for the extension ARB_texture_stencil8, a crash in do_blit_readpixels() has been fixed, async DMA on R700 has been disabled, a MSAA hang on RV770 has been fixed, and LLVM is now disabled by default at runtime for graphics.

More details about this release can be found in the official announcement. You can download the Mesa 10.1.2 sources right now from Softpedia. There is no binary file available, so it’s better to get the update from the official repositories.
