New ad goes to lengths to show vehicle's minimum carbon footprint

To promote the F-Cell, which boasts minimum impact on the environment, the guys at Mercedes-Benz have come up with a wonderful idea for an ad: if the car is “invisible” to environment, it must be so to the eye too.

Using LED mats and a side camera that captures the image to the other side of the car, the new Mercedes-Benz is rendered practically invisible – except for the wheels, which are, of course, left uncovered to prove a point.

Equipped this way, the car was sent on tour in Germany, amazing pedestrians with its amazing “invisibility” cloak.

A fuel cell vehicle burns hydrogen fuel instead of gas. As such, it emits only water vapor, which means impact on the environment is minimum.

The carbon footprint, though, depends on where the hydrogen is sourced.
