Menace of the Underdark Expansion for Dungeons & Dragons Online Arrives in Summer 2012

Developer Wizards of the Coast and publisher Warner Bros. have announced that they are working on a new expansion, called Menace of the Underdark , for their Dungeons & Dragons Online role playing game.

The expansion will feature a whole new adventure starting in the village of Everningstar which will then lead to the King’s Forest and the rest of Cormyr before moving to the Underdark and the fortress of Shindylryn.

The expansion also adds the Druid class and will be able to get to a new level cap, 25.

Fernando Paiz, who is the executive producer working on Dungeons & Dragons Online, said, “2011 was a year of growth for Dungeons & Dragons Online as we celebrated our fifth anniversary and completed a successful launch of the game in Europe. 2012 is going to be our biggest year yet with a wealth of new content throughout the year including the launch of our first expansion pack. We are very excited to expand into the Forgotten Realms setting with a whole new storyline, level cap increase and the new Druid class!”
