Melty Blood is a Japanese 2D fighting game, developed by Type-Moon and French-Bread (known as Watanabe Seisakujo prior to 2003), and is a spin-off to TYPE-MOON's visual novel game Tsukihime. It was featured at the international fighting game tournament Tougeki in 2006. It has also been adapted into a manga series, featuring art by Takeru Kirishima and serialized in the CompAce magazine, published in 2005. Melty Blood was originally released in December 2002 on the PC, with an expansion patch, Re-ACT, being released two years later in May 2004, and

ReACT Final Tuned, released in July 2005.

An arcade and Playstation 2 port, Melty Blood: Act Cadenza, has also been released. Melty Blood: Act Cadenza Ver. B is an arcade port of the PS2 game with various changes and upgrades, the most notable of which is the inclusion of 'White Len' as an initial playable character and Neco Chaos as a hidden character.

Unlockables

Unlock Giant Attack 666 Mode
To unlock Giant Attack 666 Mode, you must beat arcade mode with Neko-Arc Chaos while doing his special story mode (Hold Button D while selecting Neko-Arc Chaos till the story mode sequence opens. If Neko-Arc Chaos starts talking about something referring to HD DVD and Kohaku appears, you've got the right story arc. Your mid-boss will be 4 Neko-Arc Chaos & final boss will be Neko Chaos Black G666 instead of Satsuki & White Ren).

Giant Attack 666 Mode allows you to fight against Neko Chaos Black G666 (aka: Giant Neko-Arc Chaos Robo) with any character to see how fast you can beat him.

Please note, this mode requires you to have the Version 1.01 or 1.02 patch to unlock this mode (problems in the game did not allow it to be unlocked with the initial release).

Unlock Neco-Arc Chaos
Neco-Arc Chaos - Clear Arcade Mode as any character, then press D while selecting Nrvnqsr Chaos.
