Christmas and the winter holidays are just kicking in and all those special treats are bound to show in most parts of our body in almost no time. Of course, other than exercise and moderation as all the doctors and dieticians are telling us to do, there is also another thing that we could do this time of the year, and that is think ahead and already start making plans for shifting the extra pounds we’re sure to gain.

We shouldn’t fret if we’re not the type to go to the gym, for one reason or another, or the kind of person that can be very easily motivated. There are countless people out there who, no matter how much they want it, can’t seem to find it in themselves to start exercising on their own.

And this is where workout videos come in, with those made by and starring ultra-fit celebrities ranking in second as to their importance. Melanie Brown of the Spice Girls fame is also among the latter category, her “Totally Fit Mel B” DVD released this year being one of the most recommended workouts for this specific purpose.

Priced at £20, the DVD is highly recommended by nutritionists because it is as easy as it is efficient. Not requiring any previous experience (such as was the case with, say, Carmen Electra’s workouts), Mel B shows people how she shifted the pregnancy weight easily and in a fun way. The routine is also best with the type of people mentioned above, meaning those who could be deemed “lazier” or more prone to become bored while working out.

“This assumes no experience and gives excellent basic, practical advice for beginners. The only equipment needed is a broomstick for stability work and some bottles of water or cans for weights. Fun and easy to follow,” is how a description of the routine goes. Rated a 10 out of 10 by most specialized media outlets, “Totally Fit Mel B” could be just the thing to bring us back to our pre-Christmas shape in almost no time.
