After the past weekend's incident that involved Mel Gibson, one 'Jewish' deputy and a 'sugar tits' female police officer, Hollywood stood up and demanded that the actor/director be isolated and publicly punished for his behavior and comments.

Consequently, Gibson recently admitted into a rehabilitation program, made a second apology on Tuesday, claiming that it was the booze talking and not his senses. How many people believed him or not, remains to be seen.

A couple of pictures taken just a few hours before the incident, showing Mel partying with many women, have surfaced on the Internet but a 'close friend' of the star has the audacity to say that the actor was actually planning to kill himself that night. The source told 'Deadline Hollywood' that, for a while, Gibson was suffering from depression because of his alcoholism, a disease he suffered from in the past and which he could no longer control.

Gibson 'felt he was helpless to alcohol and didn't know what to do about it. No one's really asking questions about his state of mind. That's why he was driving around 90 miles an hour. This was a death wish. If that cop hadn't stopped him, this guy was going to be wrapped around a pole.', says the friend of the disgraced star.

'This is such a bigger issue than "Will he work again?". This is about his not wanting to live anymore. I've seen what he's gone through and what he's going through. You have to understand the disease of alcoholism. He was back in it. There's no doubt in my mind he was trying to kill himself that night.'

Although the story is pretty touching, there are many doubts as to whether anybody will believe it, especially when the entire world saw Gibson partying like crazy and looking the perfect image of happiness and bliss. But that just goes to show that nobody died from trying...
