The disgraced Hollywood star Mel Gibson came out of his hiding last weekend to give away his only daughter and the eldest of his seven children. Hannah Gibson (26) vowed to share the rest of her life with multi-platinum blues guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd (26) in front of a select audience, made up only of Mel's class A friends.

The Catholic ceremony took place, away from the prying eyes of the media, in Mel Gibson's personal church, the Holy Family Catholic Church that he built out of his personal fortune on his $2 million estate in Agoura Hills, California. Of course, Hannah's proud father was the one who got to walk the blushing bride to the altar.

The traditional ceremony was performed entirely in Latin, according to tmz.com and, immediately after, the newlyweds were whisked away in a black limousine towards the destination of their honeymoon, which is yet unknown.

Shepherd proposed to Hannah on New Year's Eve 2004 in Rome, but the planning of the wedding was kept a well guarded secret from the media. The blues singer is no stranger to fame, as he received a Grammy nomination for both his 'Trouble' and 'Live On' albums.
