The leak of the “Expendables 3” film in full has not put a damper on Lionsgate’s plans to promote it, so the leading men in this new installment in the action franchise stopped by ABC’s Good Morning America to talk about it. Here’s an impressive turn out if we ever saw one.

Terry Crews, Kelsey Grammer, Kellan Lutz, Dolph Lundgren, Sylvester Stallone, Mel Gibson, Jason Statham, and Wesley Snipes, who merely said a word in the entire interview, sat down for a chat on what makes “Expendables 3” worth your while and the lessons they learned while being part of such a massive ensemble movie.

You might recall that the first “Expendables” film was entirely Stallone’s idea and that he also wrote the script for it and directed it. He’s been instrumental in getting more faces on camera for the other two installments, and for the third one he did quite an astounding job.

As you can see in the video below, sometime during the interview, Gibson’s chair snapped and broke. He didn’t fall off it, but even if he had, we assume he would have handled it with humor.

Still, he sat on Sly’s knee until a new chair was brought for him and even joked that he had actually lost some weight recently, so it couldn’t have happened because he was fat. That only leaves the possibility that the chair broke because his star power was weighing too heavily.

On a more serious note, Gibson also spoke about how much fun he had on the set and how, when he picks roles like this one, he’s not exactly thinking about his “career.” He mentioned the need to forgive and be forgiven, in reference to his very troubled recent years, which saw him fall from grace and nearly lose his career.

Grammer related on the topic of forgiveness, talking about his recent statement at the parole hearing of the killer of his sister and how he would never want that man out on the streets again, even if he forgave him for his crime.

Lutz complained about being mocked by the older guys on set, while Stallone and Gibson chuckled like kids. Stallone’s comment on his success best explains the appeal of the “Expendables” franchise: find something you’re good at and stick with it; don’t pretend you’re a Shakespeare actor when you look and sound like Sly.

At the end of the interview, the guys were asked to describe their experience on set in just one word, and laughter ensued all around. Imagine just how much fun they had on set – when they were not doing stunts and injuring themselves, of course.
