Chinese OEM Meizu recently launched its popular M1 Note mid-range smartphone in India. Today, the company announces that an important Flyme OS update is now available for download.

Meizu M1 Note owners can download Flyme OS 4.2.0.6l manually from the company's website; otherwise, they can wait for the OTA (over-the-air) update to arrive on their smartphones.

Keep in mind that the update is about 634MB in size, so make sure you have enough storage on your M1 Note before attempting to download it.

Also, Meizu recommends users to check that the battery has at least 20% capacity. You might also want to back up your data before updating the system.

Flyme OS 4.2.0.6l brings many changes to M1 Note, but most are bug fixes and optimizations, which is not a bad thing at all.

No new features have been added

Furthermore, the Chinese company also added a few system languages, such as Hindi, Arabic and Turkish. They have also optimized the security of the vault and the sound of minimum volume.

Two system bug fixes have been addressed too: one that would prevent users from activating the keypad to input complex password after shutting down an alarm clock, and another one that made the bottom bar disappear after disabling “intelligent hide Smartbar” option.

In the Settings area, Meizu added a switch to control the gesture of sliding rightward under locked screen, as well as a color temperature adjusting function.

The GPS' location speed has been optimized as well, along with the launching speed of the camera. A few other camera optimizations have been implemented, like the effect of photos taken under Light field mode and the focus length adjusting effect under Manual mode.

There are a lot more bug fixes and optimizations included in Flyme OS 4.2.0.6l, so make sure you check out the full list of changes below.
