Meizu's next high-end smartphone, the MX5, is expected to be unveiled in the coming weeks. The handset has already been spotted at TENAA and a short video showing the phone leaked earlier this month as well.

However, this is the first time that we are offered a closer look at the phone's back cover. A new live photo leaked recently directly from China, and shows the phone's metal body.

We also get to see the camera and the LED flash positioning, as well as Meizu's logo at the bottom of the battery cover. It's also worth mentioning that Meizu MX5 will feature a unibody design, which means it will be powered by a non-removable battery.

No details regarding the Meizu MX5 leaked along with the new live picture, but we already know from previous rumors that the smartphone will be packed with pretty decent specs.

Still no word on availability and pricing options

Meixu MX5 will ship with FlymeOS right out of the box, which is based on Android Lollipop. In addition, the smartphone will be equipped with an octa-core MediaTek MT6793 processor and 3GB of RAM.

It will also pack 16GB of internal memory, but users will be able to further expand it up to 64GB via microSD card slot.

On the back, Meizu MX5 is said to feature a 20-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and video recording. There's no mention of a secondary camera in front, but MX5 will certainly come with one.

Last but not least, Meizu's upcoming high-end smartphone will sport a large 5.5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

In the same piece of news, the Chinese OEM plans to launch a beefed-up version of the MX5, which will be called Meizu MX5 Pro and will be powered by Samsung's Exynos 7420 chipset and will have 4GB of RAM.
