Chinese mobile phone maker Meizu is getting ready for the launch of its devices on the market in the United States, and it has already confirmed plans to do so.

The company will be present at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January, and the press release it published to unveil these plans also hinted at a debut on the US market.

Meizu is one of the most popular brands in China, though the company hasn’t had the chance to become known around the world as well, given its focus on the local market, as GizChina notes.

Today, however, we learn that this might change, and that Meizu-branded devices (most probably running under the Android platform) could soon hit shelves in the United States, as there’s enough room for a new player, as the vendor notes.

Specific info on which smartphones will be released in this country hasn’t been provided as of now, but it might not be too long before this happens, so stay tuned.
