Hi there, Meizu fans! Here's some good news for you, the giant electronics company has recently announced the official release date of the much-awaited iPhone look-a-like, M8. The portable device is going to be available starting with February 2008.

But, before the final release, the company's representatives announced a preview in January, during the CES Electronics Show. According to some online sources, the device is currently being under development, with only 80 % of it being complete. The internal motion sensor of the iPhone clone is comparable to the original Apple item.Still, the software is said to have a few bugs that will definitely need fixing, whose solution might become quite a pain in the a*s. However, apart from M8, M6 has also made its entrance on the electronic market, during CES.

According to forum posts by Meizu CEO Mr. Wong, the Meizu M8 will be available in two versions, such as an entry-level version without camera and a standard version. It was also confirmed to have a 720 x 480 pixels 16-bit 3.32-inch display.

Since I guess you want to find out the preliminary pricing details, I should tell you the M8 entry level model is going to cost around 1499 CNY for 4GB, 2199 CNY for 8GB, while the other model, the M8 standard is expected to sell the 2380 CNY for 4GB and 3080 CNY for the 8GB internal storage capacity one. Moreover, it is said that all the buyers of the entry model will later be able to separately buy a camera add-on for even better functionality.

What's really awkward about the portable media player is the unexpected success it is already starting to have, even if the makers haven't even rolled out the player on the market. Not to mention the M8 PMP is going to be a perfect iPhone clone. Where are the critics, where's the guilt, where is the law? I don't really know what the hell is going on anymore!
