Megyn Kelly says her Duggar interview on the molestation scandal won't be “a cross-examination”

The Duggar family, star of TLC’s hit reality series 19 Kids and Counting, is now faced with a scandal that could translate into the cancelation of their show. Josh Duggar, the eldest son, has had to confess to molesting 5 minor girls, including his sisters, after 12-year-old police documents emerged in the press.

The incidents occurred when Josh was 14 and 15, and the family “dealt” with them without getting authorities involved. When the cops did launch an investigation, it served no purpose because the 3-year statute of limitations had passed and not one of the parties involved wanted to cooperate.

Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, the parents, will be sitting down with Megyn Kelly of Fox News for the first interview since the scandal broke, in their Arkansas home. The interview will air tonight, June 3, 2015, with more footage to be included on the upcoming Kelly File special, airing on June 5.

As you can see in the video below, Kelly promises that this won’t be “a cross-examination,” which means the only thing she’ll do is provide the Duggars with a platform to get their side of the story out there.

Also based on the video, it seems that the interview will serve as the starting point of a discussion on the way “liberal media” is covering the scandal, which shouldn’t even be a scandal in the first place because those police records should have never been made public.

Check out the preview below and let me know in the comments: will you be tuning in for Duggars’ side of the story?
