The latest issue of Esquire magazine, out at newsstands on May 10, crowns “Transformers” beauty Megan Fox the woman of 2009. It also presents her in a light in which she has never been seen, thanks to the unique “photo shoot” we were telling you about a couple of days ago. Still, Megan, the hottest woman of showbiz at the moment, is also intelligent – she’s just not willing to prove it, as she reveals for Elle magazine.

According to the gorgeous actress, people tend to be misled into thinking that there’s nothing more of her than meets the eye, that is, that she’s just a pretty face with no brain, as they say. Far from this being the case, Fox explains, she’s actually pretty smart, but she’s just not willing to prove it to the world because she feels she doesn’t need do, like Scarlett Johansson does.

“I don’t want to have to be like a Scarlett Johansson – who I have nothing against, but I don’t want to have to go on talk shows and pull out every single SAT word I’ve every learned to prove, like, ‘Take me seriously, I am intelligent, I can speak’.” Megan says for the latest issue of Elle. Part of the problem with people thinking that she’s stupid is, the actress believes, that they never bother to look past her good looks and the impressive confidence she has in herself and her body.

“I don’t want to have to do that. I resent having to prove that I’m not a retard – but I do. And part of it is my own fault.” Fox says, adding that she has the type of bodily confidence that just “sort of oozes out of my pores.” It’s not as if she can help it, though, so people might start believing that she is as she is: beautiful without trying too much, but also very smart. “It’s just there. It’s something I don’t have to turn on.” Fox says of her attractiveness.

As we were telling you a couple of days ago, with the release date for “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” (also starring Megan Fox) nearing, the stunner is doing the media rounds to promote the film. Esquire magazine, for instance, features a photo spread taken by means of a special Red One camera that allowed photographer Greg Williams to shoot her continuously and then extract stills for the spread in the end. This allowed Fox to act, Williams says, bringing fans the closest to what it’s like to spend a day with Megan Fox.
