This weekend, a new DC Comics adaptation hits movie screens in the US, starring Josh Brolin and none other than former “Transformers” hottie Megan Fox. To say that hype for “Jonah Hex” is reaching never before seen quotas is quite an understatement at this point – and Megan is partly responsible for it, as expected.

In the film, Fox plays a woman of loose morals (to put it mildly), who teams up with Hex on his quest for personal vengeance. Aside from the fact that she looks drop-dead gorgeous and can shoot a gun better than most men, another remarkable thing about Megan’s character is her incredible waistline, which was reduced to no more than 18 inches for the film, the star says in a brand new interview with MTV. This comes to confirm what earlier photos already hinted at: Megan Fox is going all out there to prove she has what it takes to be a good actress.

“There are many things a moviegoer can expect going into ‘Jonah Hex,’ the Josh Brolin-starring DC Comics adaptation hitting theaters this weekend. For one, there are plenty of stylized shootouts. For another, the titular Hex is a grizzly gunslinger with an ugly mug that gives Two-Face from ‘The Dark Knight’ a run for his money. Then, of course, there’s Megan Fox’s waistline. […] Early photographs from the ‘Hex’ set left many fans dumbfounded at just how constricting Fox’s corset appeared to be, leaving the actress with what she described to MTV News as an 18-inch waistline,” MTV writes.

And a tiny waistline it was, indeed, Megan confirms. “It’s small. We got it down to 18 inches. But in the action scenes, we loosened it up, because everyone was afraid I was going to pass out. At the end of the day when we would take it off, it would leave these deep grooves, these deep indents from the boning in the corset. I’d have it for the whole next day. The next 24 hours I’d be imprinted with the corset. It hurts your ribs!” the actress says. Still, she wouldn’t mind it if they made a comeback. “I do think there’s a place for corsets. I think they should come back. They should make a reappearance. I enjoy them, but maybe I’m sick,” she adds.

“Jonah Hex” also stars John Malkovich as the evil plantation owner Quentin Turnbull, the villain who destroys Hex’s life and whom he will pursue in the most gruesome manner to have his revenge. So far, hype would seem to indicate the film is a sure winner, even standing excellent chances of laying the grounds for a new film franchise.
