Audiences feel they have a license to hate in Megan Fox’s case because she’s beautiful and famous, it has been said, wherefrom the tendency to shoot down some of her projects. With all that, “Jennifer’s Body,” a horror comedy penned by Oscar winner Diablo Cody, has garnered a very warm response so far. Consequently, 20th Century Fox has upped the ante on the promo campaign by releasing a green band trailer and a new poster.

As we were also telling you just a couple of days ago, the red band trailer for “Jennifer’s Body” promised quite a lot in terms of gore and gory humor, just the kind of combination we have come to expect from classic stories. It also included some very foul language and graphic images of intimate scenes, which, again, were deemed more than OK by fans of the genre – and fans of the actress in particular. As several movie-oriented publications point out, the green band trailer is getting the same reception.

Preceded by a short introduction from Megan herself, the recently released teaser does away with the foul language and adds some scenes of the angelic-looking, extremely attractive Megan instead. Scenes of her transformation have also been left out for obvious reasons: people who have seen her in “Transformers” might not want to see her bloodied, toothed and ready to rip one’s heart out, and might be tempted to see the film for her pretty smile and even prettier face.

The same goes for the latest poster, which also plays on the contradiction between the viciousness of the demon that possesses Fox’s character and her apparent sweetness. For those not in the know, “Jennifer Body’s” is the story of a very popular and extremely good-looking cheerleader played by none other than the “Transformers” star, obviously. Being possessed by a demon makes her kill boys who go to the same school as her, so when her best friend finds out her secret, she is faced with the choice of stopping what she’s doing or eliminating her as well.

“Jennifer’s Body” drops on September 18 and is, as of now, the hottest horror comedy of this fall. Check out the green band trailer below and see whether you too think the same of it.
