Megan Fox says she got too skinny because she was a vegan, is back to her regular diet

A while back, there was a lot of talk in the press and the blogosphere about whether Megan Fox wasn’t too skinny to be healthy. Now, some months later, she’s gotten some of her curves back – and she says she only got this thin because she was a vegan.

In a new interview cited by FitCeleb, Megan addresses her weight loss for the first time since the controversy began, saying only that she achieved it somehow against her will, by turning vegan.

“For a year and a half, until about four months ago, I followed a strict vegan diet based on raw fruits and vegetables, no bread, sugar and coffee,” the former “Transformers” star says.

Naturally, she lost weight and, on her tiny frame, it became immediately noticeable, prompting lots of speculation of an eating disorder or extreme dieting.

The actress says she’s now back to her regular diet, which would explain recent photos of her with a few extra pounds.

“But I had lost too much weight. So now I eat a bit of everything. I train three times a week doing circuit training with my trainer Harvey Pasternak,” Megan says.

Pasternak also came to Megan’s defense when, after a new ad for Armani Underwear was released, people threw her under the bus branding her an anorexic.

Back then, he said he could personally vouch that she was taking proper care of herself, adding that she was just incredibly lean and had a fast metabolism, as we also informed you at the time.

“Believe it or not she has this really fast metabolism. So her training is all about body toning and sculpting,” Pasternak said.

“With her it’s really about she’s eating enough of the right things. People thought ‘Oh she must be anorexic’ but she’s far from that!” Megan’s personal trainer added.
