MTV Games and Harmonix have announced that during this week, Megadeth is coming to Rock Band in spectacular fashion, with the release of the full list of tracks from their “Rust in Peace” album, seen as a landmark in the history of rock. The songs will be delivered later today on the Xbox 360 home gaming console from Microsoft and are set to also come to the PlayStation 3 on February 11. The tracks can be played on the Nintendo Wii version of Rock Band as well.

The following tracks will be available to those who are interested in the music of Megadeth: “Holy Wars… The Punishment Due;” “Hangar 18;” “Take No Prisoners;” “Five Magics;” “Poison Was the Cure;” “Lucretia;” “Tornado of Souls;” “Dawn Patrol” and “Rust in Peace… Polaris.” The developers at Harmonix are mentioning that all the tracks delivered are master recording taken from the band directly.

Dave Mustaine, the leader and vocalist of Megadeth, said that “This record is one of my favorites from my catalogue, and you will see the twists and turns that make Rust In Peace the quintessential Thrashterpiece that it is!”

On the Xbox 360, the full album is being priced at 1,200 Microsoft Points, while songs themselves will be priced at 160 MP, while on the Wii, each track will set the player back 200 Wii Points. Equivalent prices will be asked on the PlayStation 3.

The release of the album arrives as Megadeth is preparing for a March tour together with Testament and Exodus, set to celebrate the 20-year anniversary of the release of “Rust in Peace,” which was launched in 1990 and was nominated for Grammy awards two years in a row. Megadeth fans can also get “Peace Sells… But Who’s Buying?” at the Rock Band Music Store.
