SPB Software, one of the leading mobile software developers, has recently announced that its mobile client TV application has been chosen by major Russian carrier MegaFon for its popular service “Video portal.”
According to the developer, the
TV solution is unique in Russia due to its picture quality and rich functionality such as picture-in-picture mode, fast channel launch and switching, integrated TV guide, setting up the program reminder in calendar and more.

MegaFon decided to improve its video service to meet subscribers' high expectations and to offer its customers the best user experience. With the addition of the SPB TV client that was integrated within the existing solution, the new service has more value and features a significantly improved video portal interface.
The solution included the client part which was specially developed to meet all requirements of TV viewers and it allows users to watch TV on the mobile phone, providing them with the TV-like usability and lots of other features.
Under the agreement, SPB Software will implement the convenient content management system with an easy-to-manipulate web-interface, so that MegaFon can manage the channels and generate channel previews without any outside help.
The SPB TV solution was successfully integrated with Mobixell Videon Streaming platform and is compatible with Windows Mobile, Android, Symbian and iPhone devices.
