Mega Man Star Force 2 is the second game in the Star Force franchise, and a direct successor to Mega Man Star Force. It is known in Japan as Shooting Star Rockman 2, being released in April 2007, with a contest for boss design being held in the country. The game resembles in format with Mega Man Battle Network 5: Double Team DS, because it was launched as a combination of two titles: Zerker × Saurian or Berserk × Dinosaur in Japan, and Zerker × Ninja or Berserk × Shinobi in Japan.
It is a RPG (Role Playing Game) and is very similar to the first Mega Man Star Force, because it uses the same isometric view point as its predecessor, with characters consisting of sprites. The battle mechanic uses a completely 3D environment, as players view the battlefield from behind Mega Man. Although the range of enemies is pretty big, players can use a variety of abilities in order to gain the upper hand, like shielding or homing attacks.
The game uses a system of Battle Cards that players need to gather and organize in order for them to be used in an actual battle. The cards are used when the custom gauge in the game fills up, and the cards are called up randomly. There are three types of cards, categorized by their power and availability: Standard, Mega, and Giga, and can be sent via the Wi-Fi capability of the game.

BN Blaster - part I
Just as in the original Star Force game, Star Force 2 comes equipped with a small side quest that will give you the BN Blaster upon completion. After completing the game, insert any GBA Mega Man Battle Network cartridge into your DS unit’s GBA port. Upon starting up Star Force 2, you will receive an in-game e-mail from Copper and the Satella Police warning the public about a new viral threat.
Pulse in and begin searching for EM spaces that contain boxes. Upon pulsing into these, you will immediately see a small box. Walk up to it and you will be confronted with the viral threat (simple to defeat).
