35-year-old Anil Saxena from Bhopal, India, was shocked when he first saw his newborn son, and noticed he had been born with 26 fingers and toes.

Since then, the boy lost a finger in an accident when he was just two, and is now the proud owner of 25 digits. Arpan suffers from rare genetic disorders, Polydactyl and Syndactyly. The former leads to the growth of excess digits, while the latter caused some of his fingers to grow adjoined.

Arpan does not feel ostracized in the small city of Bhopal.

“I love it when people come to see me and take photos. [...] But the only thing I don’t like is that I can’t walk a lot because my feet never fit in any shoes,” he says.

The boy's mother, Tanu, is not planning on having the boy operated at this age, and claims his birth defect is not affecting his life in a negative way, the Sun reports.

“Arpan is famous all over Bhopal and we like it that way, and I am apprehensive about how an operation might affect him at this age,” she explains.
