There are already at least two versions of Galaxy Note 4 available on the market, the standard model and the Developer Edition variant which is locked on Verizon Wireless network.

Well, it looks like Samsung is back again with yet another Galaxy Note 4 version, which is not for everyone. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Gold Edition is only for a select few who can afford to pay no less than $2,000 (€1,565) upfront.

The smartphone is now available for purchase in Vietnam, but it’s unclear whether this is an official version of the Galaxy Note 4 made by Samsung or a customized model made by another company, GforGames reports.

However, we are certain that this luxury phone is coated in 24k gold during a process that’s said to take between 4 and 5 hours of continuous work per unit.

It appears that it costs around $1,000 (€785) to manufacture the smartphone, but this price does not include the cost of the smartphone itself. This is why the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Gold Edition has been priced at $2,000 (€1,565).

The premium smartphone is distributed by Golden Mobile in Vietnam, and there’s no telling whether or not the Galaxy Note 4 Gold Edition will make its way to other regions as well.

Keep in mind though that aside from the material used for manufacture, there doesn’t seem to be any other difference between the Gold Edition and the current version of Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

Hardware-wise, there are no differences between Gold Edition and the current version

For those still out of the loop, here is a quick recap of what they can expect from Samsung’s new flagship smartphone, which should now be available in almost all major markets.

First of all, the Galaxy Note 4 is Samsung’s first smartphone equipped with a Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) resolution. The 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display supports 515ppi (pixel per inch) and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Hardware-wise, the phablet is equipped with either 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 or a 1.9GHz octa-core Exynos 5433 processor. Both versions pack 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory, along with microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 128GB).

On the back, the Galaxy Note 4 packs an impressive 16-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash, OIS (optical image stabilization) and 4K video recording. There’s also a secondary 3.7-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls.
