This Chinese portable media player reminds me of Two-Face, the character from the movie Batman (in this case, Batman being played by the Zune). How come? Well, for starters, the media player sports a rather peculiar design, as if the manufacturers were undecided as to which patterns to add?so they mixed them all.

The result is called MP888, and the mischievous minds behind the design concept are the fellows from Shenzhen Link-Create Technology.

All in all, even with its weird shaped face attached, the media player doesn't look too bad. It makes the same impression as Alexander McQueen's first shows, and will probably gain some reputation for controversy and shock tactics in the electronics industry itself. If it manages to survive, of course.

Regarding the player's looks, it features a 2.4 inch TFT LCD, which is said to display up to 262.000 colors. As for its capabilities, the item is said to be able to handle most of the file formats available on the market, such as MPEG-4 for video files, in AVI format, as well as some other formats for the audio content, such as MP3, WMA, WAV and AAC.

Besides that, this fellow can also perform some photo slide show, using JPEGs, exclusively. As if these weren't enough, the device can double itself into a TXT e-book reader.

Among the most important specs on the technical list, the device features a built-in 1.3MP camera, an integrated speaker system, as well as microphone and an SD card slot for an extra memory boosting. Of course, some might even notice the FM tuner in the menu; if not, they could try its integrated gaming functionality.

In addition, the portable media player uses internal flash memory, which ranges from 128MB to 4GB maximum. But hey, you get to play some old-school games like "Throw Egg" or "Explode Pigboat".

Overall, if the looks don't impress you too much - I doubt that - you could appreciate its convenient size of 105.3 x 51.6 x 14.5 mm. For extraterrestrial reasons, you have to buy a dozen of them to get yourself one of these. And that's simply a two-faced, bitchy attitude! What? No, I am not upset! I prefer Samsung!
