Ubisoft is announcing that it has released the second downloadable content pack for Assassin's Creed II, its action adventure title outed in 2009. We've known for some time that this pack will be called Bonfire of Vanities but only now has the publisher unveiled the adventures Ezio is set to undertake when accessing this lost sector of his genetic memory. Ubisoft is not saying whether this is the last of the DLC released for Assassin's Creed II ahead of the planned standalone follow-up, which is set for this year.

Ezio, the protagonist of Assassin's Creed II, will again team up with philosopher Machiavelli in order to free Florence from the radical grip of Savonarola, a monk who is only interested in the purity of the Catholic faith.

The only way to do this is to target the significant citizens whom he controls before taking on Savonarola himself. A new area of Florence is opened for exploration and Ezio gets another move, the spring jump, to add to his impressive arsenal.

There are also three new locations connected to the Templars, which Ezio can explore in the fresh DLC package. The Palazzo Medici in Florence in the San Marco district and apart from the beauty of the architecture, the player can also locate some important clues related to the ultimate plans of his enemies.

Santa Maria dei Frari is a church that can be found in the San Polo district of Venice and was built in the XIII century, its age being an indication of its importance to the Templars. Ezio can also get to Arsenal Shipyeard in Venice, with an option to explore the drydocls and chuck some Templars into the water.

Ubisoft is saying that those who plan to pick up the Bonfire of Vanities and the new secret Templar locations need about 1 GB of hard drive space for each piece of content and to pay 520 Microsoft Points, the equivalent of 6.99 dollars.
