Microsoft has many Windows Phone partners that vowed to launch new smartphones this year. Some of them already did that, while others are waiting for Microsoft to release Windows 10 Mobile, so that they can unleash their products in their native countries.

Japanese company Mouse Computer is one of Microsoft's new partners. A new smartphone under its brand will be launched in Japan on or after June 18.

The new smartphone is called Madosma and is another Windows 10-ready OEM device announced.

The folks over at WinFuture had the chance to take the Madosma for a spin, as the smartphone was recently showcased at Computex 2015 technology trade fair.

Although Madosma will receive the Windows 10 Mobile upgrade later this year, the unit showcased was powered by Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1.

The smartphone will be available in Japan this month

When it comes to specs, the Madosma looks like a solid budget-friendly smartphone. It sports a more than decent 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution.

On the inside, the smartphone is equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snpadragon 410 processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

Users can further expand storage up to 128GB via microSD card slot. There's also an 8-megapixel camera on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 2-megapixel camera for video calls.

Madosma is entirely made of plastic and packs a 2,300 mAh removable battery. Other highlights of the device include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS support.

Microsoft fans in Japan can already pre-order the Madosma Windows 10-ready smartphone for 33,800 yen, which is about $272 or €244.
