Webcams caught on fast with both consumers and business users, so it isn't that shocking to see that Genius has made another such item, dubbed FaceCam 3000.

FaceCam 3000 is obviously meant to make it easy for video chats and conferences to be carried out.

Then again, the 1280 x 720 video resolution at 30 frames per second, while impressive, is not the only asset it can boast of.

While the bundled Video Easy software will allow for chats, desktop sharing and video recording well enough, Genius also threw in the Image Protection Mechanism (IMP), which prevents hackers from getting control of the camera on Windows PCs.

The company used a 3-megapixel sensor and a fixed focus lens and expects buyers to hand over $59.99 (43.45 Euro) in exchange for it.
