Let's face it, all cows are pretty big, at least when compared to us humans. Still, there is one that is abnormally big even for its species. Its name is Blosom, and its address is Illinois, US.

The cow, a photo of which is available next to this article, was not too long ago measured by experts with Guinness World Records. It was thus discovered that it stands an impressive 6 feet and 4 inches (1.9 meters) tall.

This means that it pretty much towers over its owner, a woman named Patty Hanson. Add to this the fact that Blosom tips the scale at about 2,000 pounds (907 kilograms), and it's not difficult to figure out why this cow is nothing short of a star.

How Blosom and Patty got together

By the looks of it, Patty Hanson and Blosom were introduced to each other when the latter was still very young. Thus, the woman got Blosom when the now-very-imposing cow was merely a calf.

When the animal grew but failed to produce any offspring, a vet told the farm owner that, unfortunately, Blosom would never be a mom due to medical complications that made it impossible for it to get pregnant.

Rather than put the animal to sleep or turn it into several dozen delicious burgers, Patty Hanson decided to keep it as a pet. Apparently, the woman took such good care of the Holstein Friesian cow that the animal grew to reach a mind-boggling size.

Blosom's daily routine

Unlike other cows currently living at Patty Hanson's farm in Orangeville, Illinois, Blosom does more than just explore the grounds, eat and sleep. On the contrary, the animal has a surprisingly active social life.

In a nutshell, its owner parades it around whenever people visit her farm. Interestingly enough, it seems that Blosom does not mind getting all this attention. According to owner Patty Hanson, the cow very much enjoys being in the spotlight.

“Blosom is the pride of the farm. I love to share her with my guests and she loves to greet them,” the woman said in a statement, as cited by Daily Mail. “Many of my guests come from the city, and to have a cow officially greet them adds to the ambiance of the farm,” she added.

The best is yet to come

As it turns out, this cow in Illinois, US, stands to soon get a whole lot more popular than it already is. Thus, come 2016, she will be included in a new edition of the Guinness Book of World Records.

What's more, her owner says that she is thinking about writing a children's book and having Blosom star as the work's central figure. Whether or not the cow will agree to go on book tours and help its owner expand her fanbase remains a mystery.
