Not when new faces like Atchoum are forever popping up seemingly out of nowhere and stealing the hearts of thousands in the blink of an eye with their forever angry and surprisingly menacing looks.
Introducing Atchoum the cat
The feline, photos of which are available in the gallery below, lives with his owner, named Danielle, in Canada's Québec province. Yup, this adorable little fellow meows in French.
Atchoum, whose name translates to “Sneezy” in English, is not yet one year old. On the contrary, the cat was born on May 10, 2014. Still, the feline is already an Internet celebrity through and through.
In fact, Atchoum has his own Facebook and Instagram accounts, both of which are managed by his owner. Apparently, there is nothing Danielle loves more than snap photos of her pet cat and share them with the world.
Atchoum, on the other hand, has an entirely different set of priorities. Simply put, he isn't as interested in showing people just how cool his owner is as he is in napping, playing with his toy giraffe, and gulping down tasty treats.
The cat owes his looks to an odd condition
In case anyone was wondering – and chances are that plenty of you were – Atchoum is way puffier than most other cats because of a rare condition. This condition, which can also affect people, is known as hypertrichosis and causes abnormal hair growth.
“Hypertrichosis is a symptom of a hormonal disorder that manifests in man or woman, for an invasive hair on body parts. This disease can also appears on animals and provides my cat with a funny look,” Atchoum's owner explains.
