Media Player Classic – Home Cinema (MPC-HC) received a small update over the weekend, incrementing the version number to 1.7.2, which brings to the table minor tweaks that should improve the functionality of the application.

Among the changes present in this release, the developer addressed issues touching on the performance of the subtitle renderer and added high DPI-related improvements.

Additional modifications include a redesign of the shaders storing system. The LAV Filters also received attention, as the developer worked on improving them and eliminating some issues affecting their stability.

Apart from all these, the official list of changes informs that some minor user interface tweaks have also been added and one of them is the possibility to view the main menu by pressing the Alt key, just like in the case of some Microsoft applications such as Media Player and Internet Explorer.
