After confirming that it’s going to run an Xbox 360-exclusive multiplayer beta stage for its upcoming Medal of Honor: Warfighter shooter, EA has now revealed that the trial starts this Friday, on October 5.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter is out later this month and, while it may not seem like enough time to organize a beta stage, EA and developer Danger Close confirmed last week that a multiplayer trial would be run only on the Xbox 360.

The game’s Senior Designer, Ben Jones, talked with Xbox Live community manager Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb about the trial in his latest podcast and confirmed that it would start on October 5.

In case you forgot, the beta is free for all Xbox Live Gold members and gives them the chance to play a new mode called HotSpot on a map set in the Sarajevo Stadium from Bosnia.

Those who download the beta will be awarded with 60 minutes of Double XP once the full game launches on October 23, in North America, and October 25, in Europe, for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
