The development team at Piranha Games announces that it is launching yet another content update for its robot-based shooter MechWarrior Online, designed to add a new piece of hardware for players to use and a new map on which the machines can fight.

Full specifications for the Jagermech can be found on the official website, giving players a chance to see how the new robot will behave on the battlefield.

The Tourmaline Dessert map bears scant vegetation but offers an interesting playground for mechs, with large open areas allowing players to engage each other at long range.

Piranha Games is also adding a new control scheme that can be used on the Testing Ground before gamers head into battle and there are new cosmetic items for customization purposes.

The March Leaderboard Challenge, labeled Heavy vs The World, will take place between March 22 and 25.
