McDonald’s didn’t have a great year, as the company saw the worst sales decline in a decade. People are slowly turning their backs on what’s been deemed unhealthy, junk food for years and moving to greener pastures, so to say.

So today you won’t be seeing a line form at your local McDonald’s during lunch hour but at that fancy new vegan place that just opened.

But good old McDonald’s is not giving up without a good fight. The food chain is trying to diversify its menu, in an effort to show its customers it can be healthy too, and that’s not all.

The company is testing out a concept which will allow customers to order via a tablet, as reported by the Business Insider.

By this, I mean foodies will be able to create the exact burger they crave for. By virtue of a few taps, customers in McDonald’s locations will be able to add their favorite toppings to their serving, but not before checking how many calories each one has.

After completing the task, an employee will bring the order to their tablet. No actual exchange of words involved.

While, this program seems appealing by virtue of providing the ability to create customizable recipes, it does seem like McDonald’s is striving towards dehumanization here. Less talk, more do? Is this the company’s new motto?
